  • Excellence: We pursue quality in all offerings, with qualified instructors, clear objectives, and appropriate resources.
  • Accessibility: We strive to make programs available to all students regardless of ability level or financial constraints.
  • Balance: We help students maintain healthy involvement that complements rather than competes with academics and family life.
  • Faith Integration: All activities include intentional connections to Christian faith and character development.
  • Age-Appropriateness: Programs are designed to match the developmental needs of students at each level.

This balanced approach creates a positive extracurricular culture that enhances student development without creating unhealthy pressure or overcommitment.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you ensure students maintain academic priorities while participating in extracurriculars?

We maintain an "academics first" policy and work with families to ensure students balance their commitments appropriately. Our extracurricular schedule is designed to allow adequate time for homework and family activities.

Teachers and activity leaders communicate regularly, and we encourage parents to monitor their child's overall workload and stress level to maintain healthy balance.

How do you incorporate Christian faith into activities like Scouts and other programs?

Faith integration happens naturally through:

  • Regular prayer and devotional moments within activities
  • Discussion of biblical principles relevant to the activity
  • Character development emphasized alongside skill building
  • Service components incorporated into many programs
  • Christian role models leading activities

Each program includes specific faith integration goals appropriate to the activity type.

Are beginners welcome in your programs, or are they designed for students with experience?

Most of our programs welcome beginners and provide appropriate instruction for various skill levels. For example, Bible Quizzing explicitly states it's designed for students who don't yet know the Bible in depth, making it accessible to newcomers.

We believe in creating low-pressure entry points that allow all students to explore new interests and develop their God-given talents.

What if my child wants to try multiple activities?

We encourage exploration while teaching balance. Many activities are scheduled on different days to allow participation in multiple areas. Our activity calendar is designed to minimize conflicts between major program types.

We help families and students make wise choices about involvement levels that allow for exploration without overcommitment.

Are non-enrolled students able to participate in your extracurricular programs?

Some of our extracurricular activities are open to homeschooled students or those attending other schools, particularly Bible Quizzing which has a community outreach component.

Extended Care programs are limited to enrolled students. Please contact our office for specific information about program eligibility for non-enrolled students.
